How to Remove the Pull Cord from Chainette, Brush, and related styles of Fringes
The pull cord is a temporary thread located at the bottom (and sometimes in the middle for longer fringes). This cord keeps the fringe neatly aligned while you work with it.
How to Remove the Pull Cord:
- Secure the Fringe: Before removing the pull cord, make sure the fringe is sewn, stitched, or glued in place.
- Locate the Pull Cord Thread: Identify one of the loose pull cord threads at the end of the fringe.
- Gently Pull the Thread: Hold the fringe firmly and pull the thread in a smooth, even motion. The fringe will release as you pull.
- Trim If Necessary: If the pull cord resists, carefully snip the starting thread to help it release more easily.
